The Funkhaus Berlin in the east of the city and right next to the banks of the river Spree comprises four listed buildings. The light-flooded 4000 sq. m. ‘Shedhalle’ will be the new domicile of Ethical Fashion Show Berlin.
The history of the Funkhaus, where up to 5000 people worked in the era of the German Democratic Republic, still feels very present. Much has been kept in its original state and it radiates all the charm of the pre-unification era. Up to now, the prestigious sound and broadcasting studios of the complex, which was built in the 1950s, have been booked by well-known musicians.
